Wingfest was created in the Summer of 2005. 92.1 The Keg Staff got together and were brainstorming on ideas that we could do and talk came around to wing-eating contests. After many beers and a few wings (we got hungry), the idea of having a chicken-wing eating festival called Wingfest was born...
Wingfest 2005 was an experimental year. Quite honestly we didn't know what to expect. What we got was a record turnout, an extremely interesting Dr. Pepper drinking contest and a lot of wings.
